Basic 3 Day Corset Making Course (1)

During this 3 day basic course you will learn how to make a corset based on the Victorian styles. 

You will learn:

-  the traditional techniques of corset making   

- how to use the traditional spiral boning

- learn about different types of boning

-learn about the different types of fabrics and their uses

-how to apply a front busk

-how to make the lace up area at the back  

- how to lace up the corset correctly so that you can lace it up yourself whilst putting it on

You will make up your corset whilst learning all of the above, and depending on you ability, you will take home your finished corset.  If you do not have time to finish your corset, you will be given instructions.

What is provided: Use of sewing machines and all equipment, corset kit and materials needed to make the corset are all provided. tea/coffee.  

What you need to bring: You may wish to bring a packed lunch.  Use of kitchen is available. 

The course starts at 10am and finishes at 4pm each day.
