Coffee Chat Stitch and Sew a Debbie Top
About the Event
I will be using the Stitch Clever Debbie Top pattern. The Debbie Top is a very easy to sew top. A great project for beginners. There are no zips, no fastenings, no facings and only 2 main pattern pieces. Perfect if you have never made a top before. Also perfect for those of you who sew often and want a quicky and easy project to sew. You can sew with me on this live, interactive sewing session. This is available to purchase either in PDF instant download format or as a traditional Paper Pattern. Both include step by step instructions.
I will sew the Debbie Top bag along with you. You will need a 2-way stretch fabric such as Jersey or Ponte Roma. Depending on your skill level, you will all be well on the way to finishing the top by the end of the hour. If you haven’t finished, don’t worry as the pattern includes full step by step instructions for making and you will be able to finish it in your own time. I will stay online for 15 minutes after the session to answer any questions that you may have.
What are Coffee Chat Stitch and Sew Sessions?
I have planned these sessions for those of you who want to have like minded company when you are sewing. Sewing can be quite lonely, we are generally in a room on our own. I find that I can sometimes be much more inspired if I sew whilst chatting to others. What could be nicer than sewing with other people. This has not been possible during lockdown and even after lockdown it will still be great to “meet” new people and getting inspired by people we would never bump into in the “physical” world.
Each sewing session lasts for one hour, followed by 15 minutes of questions and answers. Every session includes a different project. The sessions are interactive, not the traditional online sessions that you have to watch on your own. You can enjoy sewing and chatting with everyone and I will be there to guide your sewing and answer any questions you may have along the way. All you need is a computer and internet connection. Sessions take place over Zoom, which is free. When you book you will be sent a link, simply click on the link and it will take you through. It only takes a minute or so, but I will log on about 10 minutes before, so you can log on early and be ready to start on time.
