The Dawn Trouser pattern is an easy to sew pattern suitable to make for a beginner who is new to dressmaking.
These easy fitting trousers are a great project for beginners new to trouser making.  They are high waisted, pull on trousers with an elasticated waistband, tapered at the bottom for a flattering fit.  This pattern is a quick and easy project for a beginner.  There are no zips, fastenings or facings to worry about.  There are two styles in the pattern, one style with pockets and one style without pockets.  If you are new to trouser making you may want to make the trousers without pockets as a first project, gaining the confidence and skills to make a second pair with pockets.
The patterns also come in two lengths, full length and calf length.  The pattern includes easy to follow diagrams, step by step instructions and lots of sewing tips. 
Fabric Suggestions:  Light to medium weight woven fabrics that are soft and drape well.
